55th Anniversary of the EH Holden: Classic Restos - Series 38

By Shannons - Published on 20 September 2018

The EH Holden Car Club of NSW celebrates the 55th Anniversary of the 1963 EH Holden. Over 250,000 EH Holdens were sold, and the model has a particularly strong following. There was a special motorsport model produced by GMH called the S4, it was the first 100mph car built by the manufacturer and was raced by Storming Norm Beechey at Mt Bathurst.

Fletch talks with owner/restorer Harvey who has completed a full rebuild, and his S4 is one of only 13 surviving models in Australia. Other great EH Holden examples include Mick's EH Premier Station Wagon, then Colin with an EH Premier Sedan in original condition, as it left the factory. Of course, to complete the range, there is Lee with his EH Holden Ute.

Of course, there are plenty of modified EH's, the model was very popular and still is today, Steven talks about his 64 EH Sedan that has been tastefully modified, wheels and interior along with modest engine improvement but all in keeping with the style of the original EH Model.
