2017 Chryslers on the Murray : Classic Restos Series 34

By Shannons - Published on 17 May 2017

Fletch returns to Chryslers on the Murray in Albury, Victoria for the largest Chrysler Event in the southern hemisphere. Fletch outlines the origins of Chrysler in Australia and then gets out amongst the Mopar fans and discovers some interesting stories of the passionate owners and their cars. Bill with his 1976 VK Valiant with just 9,800 Km's on the clock and in original condition. John with a spectacular three-car display of CL Chryslers, a Drifter Panel Van, Charger sedan and Charger Ute, along with the story of how he managed to acquire a matching set,  all in orange. Then there's Costa with what was once a 1977 CL Valiant Ute that has been the subject of a major modification including a Dodge Viper V10 engine and bespoke interior. And they keep coming with some great tales of how they were acquired, like Warren with 1971 VJ Valiant that has been cloned and completely transformed to VH Valiant Ute, except Chrysler never made an E49 Ute all in a smart Magenta paint job. And finally Wayne with his 'S' Model Valiant,  a quite revolutionary car when it was first introduced and gave Ford and Holden Manufacturers a run for their Money. If you're a Mopar fan, put this one in your diary for 2018.
