1971 Datsun Fairlady Z (240z)

History

The car was manufactured in Japan in 1969. Purchased by an Illawarra BHP executive whilst stationed in Japan. The date of import to Australia is not known but can be assumed that it was in 1971 as that is the date of first registration.

The car is designated as Fairlady Z however it was exported worldwide as the 240Z.
In reading the motoring history of this make it had a two litre (L6) motor as standard as compared to the 2.4 litre as used in exports.

The car was sold to a Wollongong (NSW) person about 1980 who maintained the vehicle (including engine swap but no notification to RTA) until I purchased in 1999.

Since purchasing the car I have extensively modified the car over the period.
