1976 Volkswagen GOLF

History

my pride and joy, bought it with 80,000km on the clock, no rust om the body, car was in a good comdotion but needed some work done, put a set of bbs on it matched with bc coilovers, a 40 dcoe weber on the 1.6 8v engine, amd entere vw nationals in 2017 and won best in sydney, after that found some rust under the front windshield, then the big project in my backyard started, stripped the car to bare metal, and redis everything on my own from scratch, car has no filler on it, all high build primer amd blocked sanded for a full year, every single bolt on the car is brand new, disc conversion at the back mated with willawood proportional valve, the heart of the car is a 2.0 16v 9a engine with dual 45 weber dcoe, car is running on msd 6al, engine wires reduced to minimal, new brake lines all around, bed liners with new seamsealer in and out. my pride is that i did eveything on my own, body work, mechanical and electrical and all the fabrication. entered vw nationals again this year and won best in class and best in vw watercooled peoples choice
