Wonder why Japanese cars are so popular, its because the game was made in Japan and had predominantly a Japanese car roster since the Euro manufactures thought they were nuts. It was unique way car manufactures were able to access the next generation buying public. Also thats generation intro to cars and tuning culture. Had a big effect on me, I really enjoyed the technical aspect of being able to customize suspension (spring rates, toe, camber) and see how these affect handling. I've always been into handling so was great to model these on tracks and see how it affects the cars on various tracks.
