I would never suggest this is my favourite 'Aussie' six, but I'll throw it in here just so readers can wince one more time at the sometimes dubious product that GM Holden has endured from its Korean cousin, once known as Daewoo ... probably the only remotely remarkable element of the 2007 Holden Epica sedan was the Porsche-developed inline six cylinder petrol engine of 2.0 or 2.5 litre capacity, mounted transversely over the front wheels ... the engine bay presentation was attractive, however neither power unit was particularly torquey below 3,500 rpm, such that the smaller unit was later dropped from the range ... by 2010, the car's lack of local success was embarrassing, with less than 2,000 units sold that year against more than 25,000 units of its targeted competitor, the Toyota Camry.
