The wildest 911-based racer I saw compete in Australia was Alan Hamilton's 935 driven with great skill by Australia's then recently retired F1 champ Alan Jones in 1982. The 935 was based on the 930 with wild FIA Group 5 modifications - hence 935. With a twin-turbo 3.2 litre flat-six, that jigger had between 700-800bhp and the sheer brutality of its performance in AJ's hands was a joy to watch. I saw it compete several times in 1982, each a treasured memory.
