Gee JW, you were doing extremely well getting 4L/100km from your LTD. My mate's P6 was lucky to crack 14L/100km - and he was on apprentice wages! Yes, I've owned several V8s and loved them all but the standouts for me were the 351cid Cleveland XA GT Hardtop replica I used for track days, a beautiful VF Valiant 770 Hardtop with 318cid 'Fireball' V8/Torqueflite auto and my personally modified Ford Capri Mk1 with 302cid Windsor V8 and four-speed single-rail four-speed manual. Man, what a sleeper that was, until the lights went green! All great V8 classics I wish I still owned today - but we all say that.
