Freeway64's 2017 CLA photo reminded me that it is a car which, incredibly, combines two design efforts, one from the 1970s and the other from the late 90s and provides no advance on either. And then there is the rear end similarity of the Merc CLS and a 1950s Chevrolet. The "applied" rear fender motif (as GM called it) is a standout on both cars. But not for the better.
