Thanks for adding the photos of the larger Avanti cars, Skylark. I went to the Studebaker museum last year but they were not on display. Here's a pic of a design drawing of the Avanti that was on display. What surprised me about the Avanti was how small it looked even though its wheelbase is only one inch shorter than a VE Holden. Also two more images, one with Studebaker boss Sherwood Egbert and Leowy.
