This is not only a problem facing Ferrari. When you think of other supercar marques like Lamborghini, Bugatti, Aston Martin etc, which pride themselves on exotic engineering, the future is just as challenging. It will be interesting to see how the new battery-electric Lotus Evija is received next year, with its four electric motors and 1471kW - that's about 2000bhp on the old scale! Perhaps sheer organ-displacing performance will be enough to maintain the desirability factor?
