I owned a couple of SAABs, a sturdy 96 in a deep sea Carolina Blue (solid colour.) Fantastic and durable V4, column change gears - nothing faulted. (there's a pretty one Gumtree) And a 1998 SAAB 9000CSE. The CSE was the last car before GM took control and lasted from 1984 to 1999 (platform shared with Fiat, Lancia and Alfa remember them?) Luxury and speed, economy and acceleration with seemingly endless turbo power. My only disappointment was the lack of space to put the foot down on the drive to work - still zipping across to Melbourne made up for it. Still it was safer than a Volvo, (twin airbags, ABS, cruise) practical (hatch) and comfortable leather heated seats, sunroof and unique. (should have kept it - but we all say that.) With the last 93/95 you could almost see the bones of the Vectra poking through!
