Peterolsen ~ That could be a frustrating long-term expensive hobby if the V12 needs work. The XJS is a beautiful Jag, but under the bonnet is like a "Plumber's Nightmare". Good luck with it though, you might be skilled enough to enjoy tinkering. A friend of mine (a radiologist) who liked to tinker with cars asked me which car he should choose after looking at (a) An XJS Jag (b) A Jensen Intercepter. I said the Chrysler V8 in the Jensen would be a lot easier to work with. He bought the Jensen (photo below) and did a full resto. and it is sweet ! 440 cu in V8 Torque Flite Trans.
