I'm a bit amazed that there was only one comment on page one about the Renault Alpine. These cars had a full fiberglass body bonded with the chassis. I know there is not that many in Australia, but they are very well know around the world, and have won a hell of a lot of races, from ralleys to Le Mans in all their forms. From the A106, to the A110 and the A310, where they then went from 4 cyl to the PRV V6. After 1985 these were called the GTA with the last model GTA's being turbo; the last Alpines made were the A610 in 1995. All of these cars had amazing handling, and crazy top speeds for their time. I have loved them most of my life, and at last, last year I found one for sale and bit the bullet, and bought it.. This is the only group 5 replica alpine A310 in Australia to my knowledge. in the last few years the alpine brand has been revived, but they are now going to be alloy bodies. Renault in 1995 also made a spider which had plastic body panels.
