I don't remember that scene muz but I agree that the prospect of towing such a giant in those days would have been daunting. Mind you, the Yanks weren't alone in having such enormous caravans. In Australia in the late 1960s we had the equally expansive 36-foot triple-axle Viscount Ambassador (click on image below to marvel at its full length) which this photo suggests could be towed by an HK Holden. Aussie cars were just so capable!
