I think I won the Australian Sprint championship once, in the Brabham Repco. This was before we had drag cars in oz. As the car was straight from Bathurst, with it's highest gearing for speed down Conrod, it would not have been in it's best trim foe standing starts. I am not sure, as a gear change guide tore off the chassis in the second run, so we packed up & went home. However I think I got a trophe in the mail a few weeks later. How many of the racing people from the 60s crowded around car can you recognise? Note the small amount of smoke indicating I have started the run. Can you imagine people all round the cars like this today.
