I'm not sure the 120Y was particularly stunning and some of the early Hyundais were pretty dreadful.[/quote] Yes, some of those cars like the 120Y and especially the 2 door sure were ugly, but I found the ugliness was more to do with that they were SOOOOO gutless to boot (especially the auto) .... It is not so much the look of them that was ugly alone... imagine one with some mags, flared guards and a 2.4 turbo efi 5 speed that launches almost as quick as a Lambo or something.... When a seemingly ugly (aka: Bland) car launches like the space shuttle, the ugliness seems to get left well behind. Had the 120Y been fitted with a ball tearing high performance donk/brakes/handling... they would not have had the ugly image they ended up with... Even the ugliest car can look ... at least 'cute' if they go like stink :)
