Thanks prn31. Yep, I agree with you that Lawrie Nelson did a top job in his Charger throughout that period of racing. However, given the considerable amount of text and images required to cover the Series Production era of the R/T Chargers, for reasons of brevity I focused on Geoghegan's Group C car simply because it was the most successful Charger of that ATCC era. I note you claim that Geoghegan and Nelson finished equal on points in eighth place in the 1973 ATCC. Those results stood for a long time until someone more recently realised that the six points Geoghegan lost at the Calder round and which were later returned on appeal had not been reinstated in the final 1973 ATCC points tally. Hence in the reshuffle Geoghegan rose to sixth and Nelson dropped to ninth overall. Hope this clarifies things. And I must say, Lawrie's second place at Sandown and third place at Adelaide during the 1973 ATCC must rank as some of the best unsung performances in touring car racing.
