Mark your contemporary photos are of a building opposite the principal Pattersons site. Pattersons were located where McDonalds now are on the north west corner of New Street. The colour photo in the bottom row of your post is the now demolished Pattersons showroom. The derelict building pictured may possibly have been part of Pattersons however the showroom, service centre, spare parts and panel shop were opposite. First picture is looking west to the City and the present day location of Eastlink. The second shot is the view looking east towards Lillydale and the hills circa 1957. Ringwood is now a very different place from my boyhood.
