Thanks Silvercloud. That's a great story about the Australian-developed ACCO. I remember how good those things were when I was serving in the Ku-Ring-Gai Volunteer Bushfire Brigade in Sydney's northern suburbs in the 1970s and early '80s. The local council had a 4x4 ACCO for firebreak maintenance works and it was a very well-made and capable beast - would I be correct in remembering it as having a V8 engine? The Moffat race transporter you mention (the first one got burned to the ground in 1976 so they built Moffat a second one that year) is still alive and well in the safe hands of the Bowden family in Queensland. And they still use it often to transport their priceless collection of race cars to historic meetings. I've attached a pic of it with 'The Boss' in 1976 (click on the image to see it in full length).
