The Aussie Javelin's (actually ALL AMI assembled AMC/Rambler's) are such unique and special cars. Made at a time when Australia had a "can do" attitude possibly due to the tariff's which forced them to manufacture many unique Australian parts for these cars. They are so rare now it is great to see any on the road or featured (as Dianne's blue one has been) in such a high profile publication. The Australian AMC/Rambler show is only a couple of weeks away which is hosted by the Chryslers on the Murray. An Australian record of around 22 Javelin and AMX's are set to be there all lined up on the sunday for a photo shoot with about another 40 other AMC/Ramblers such as Hornets, Matador X's, Classic's, American convertibles, ex US marines AM general Hummer, Concord, Rebel, , to name a few which may break the Australian record for the amount of AMC/Ramblers in the one spot in Australia too. If you have an AMC/Rambler in any condition and wish to bring it we would love to have you there. Entry forms on www.chryslersonthemurray.com or just pop into town for a weekend away and just enter on the spot. the show itself is on the way to breaking its record with about 800 Chryslers/AMC's all up (which includes plenty of classic Aussie cars, US muscle cars and big finned beauties, vintage Chryslers, Chrysler hot rods, Hillman's, Jeeps, PT Cruisers, New Dodge Challengers, even Chrysler Sigma's, and Scorpions, Simca's etc ANYTHING Chrysler related. AMC was bought out by Chrysler in 1987 to secure Jeep manufacture which makes the AMC's part of the family. Its an amazing weekend
