Thanks for your contributions Glynnie and 120394. That Belmont you had, Glynnie, would be worth quite a few dollars these days. So few have survived. And I know what you mean about the 350 Statesman. My dad had brown-on-brown 350 Statesman company car (after his Statesman Custom, with a 253 V8, went to someone else in the company he worked for). I never did get to drive the 350, but from my vantage point sitting in the back seat it sure did move quick. I agree with you 120394 about the timeless nature of the HQ styling. I think it is one of the best looking cars of the 1970s, anywhere in the world. And as for the handling? Well, it is what is is. Have you heard the Modern Motor record that was done at the time of the HQ's release? Its a classic!
