I like your taxi 'rank' pun Motown1. I reckon those Aussie-built Nissan Skylines of the 1980s would also sit very high on the durability list. Honestly, you couldn't kill those things with a big stick. I know a bloke who owns one and he still can't bare to part with it. Has more than 450,000 kms on its original mechanicals and with regular maintenance it still faithfully serves as his daily driver. I had a steer of it recently and it still feels remarkably tight and rattle-free. If you ever wanted to showcase how well Australians could build cars, that's the one I'd put on display. Outstanding!
