For me, this paragraph of the the Blue Letter sums up the insights of the Fairlane Committee, when they referenced the size of the youth market: "It is important beyond its size due to the apparent opportunity for conquest sales, first new car sales and the potential for re-establishing a favourable Ford image with the younger age groups who dominate this market area." It really highlights the market that GM stumbled into with the Corvair/Monza. Right market but wrong car for the long term. Ford benefitted from that. As you highlight, Silvercloud, they were a committed group to have persevered and navigated through the other layers of management, especially the folks who hold the purse strings. I know that experience! And, here's another postcard of the Fairlane Inn. It should have been preserved as a heritage site.
