Here's the link to Peter Robinson's 2013 Motor Trend story about the Hurricane's development. Peter researched its history at the GM Heritage Centre and spoke to its designers. It was initially called the Taipan, as seen in this 3/8ths size model, shaped in Detroit. And when Holden designer and future design director, Phil Zmood, was working at GM in Detroit in 1965-66 he created a number of Hurricane-like designs, which he signed. I've shared two here, along with the line drawing of the Genest design.
