MarkO - not so sure that the FE or even the FB would have slotted into compete with the Falcon. I think it was half a generation before the lower profile of the Falcon and Valiant and it would have looked decidedly old fashioned against those two and even more so, with the exception of the Studebaker Lark, in this group of 1960 compacts. Retro - when was the plan for the Chevy II first laid down? Given that it takes two or three years, surely the Chevy II must have been at the planning stages well before the end of 1959?
