Hasbeen, given your vast racing background from the 1960s (my favourite decade of motor sport) I thought you and the boys would appreciate this little snippet of Moke history. In the 1966 Rothmans 12 Hour International sports car race at Surfers Paradise, Barry Seton and Charlie Smith drove this specially modified (ie supposedly lower drag bodywork) Moke to seventh place in the 'Sports Racing Under 2000cc' class. It was entered as a 'Morris Sports' and completed 311 laps. Note sure why they entered a Moke but from all accounts it was just for fun. Kinda scary when you think they were sharing the track with Ferrari 250LM and Ford GT40 sports racing cars!
