MarkO - this was the first brochure I think for the Australian market Wagoneer, picked up in 1965. I can't for the life of me remember where, but it would have been somewhere in Melbourne. On the back they referred to it as a 4WD Station Sedan.....! The 1966 Gladiator brochure has an Australian Made logo on it. Willys Motors operated out of Evans Road in Rocklea in Brisbane. They were on land owned by BMC and they leased part of it from them. Hard to find employees of both companies around now, but I'll see how I go. BMC moved from there to Wacol in about 1967 or '68 so I don't know what happened to Willys. In the Australian Automotive Year Book for 1967, it states that there were 33 Wagoneers sold in 1966 in this country. There were over 230 Willys registered as trucks, but it's not clear how many would have been Gladiators among the rest of the Jeep range.
