I agree with Mike 72 regarding the Detomaso Pantera, so much so that l purchased one. Repairing and maintaining a 351 Cleveland is a lot less stressful than an exotic Italian and somehow the noise belies the pedestrian origins of the pushrod Ford. l also prefer the purity of the early cars before the wings and flares, just the way Tom Tjaarda intended. Strangely perhaps Tjaarda was an American designer rather than Italian working for Ghia which was owned by Detomaso at the time.
