The post had the term oil additives but no mention of them. Having work in the automotive parts and accessory industry for decades and specifically I would be interested to hear what he has to say about products such as Bardhal and Wynns. I have demonstrated Wynns oil aditives and their friction generator display is VERY revealing, although I do understand that the demonstration puts a far heavier load on the surface of the metal and the oils than an engine does. But I would have to disagree that all branded oils are the same. Back then, in the late 70s, Castrol GTX would fail miserably with the test whereas Valvoline XLD was far superior.. But with the addition of Wynns the damage and gouging of the oils on their own was reduced to just a shiny spot no matter how one pushed on the lever or what oil was used. Comments please?
