Great Series Retro and thank you - 1961 was certainly an eventful year. One thing I never liked was the rear window treatment of the Chevrolet (and Pontiac) 4 Door Sedans. As this was the only body style we got in this country, as a young bloke in those days, it almost put me off the marque. Thank goodness they changed it for '62. Our Bel Airs looked pretty plain compared with the US offerings - I think the ultimate for '61 would have been an Impala Super Sport two door hardtop coupe or 'bubbletop' complete with the 409 which was introduced later in the '61 model year.
