The ones I most remember as a kid were the vans with no side windows and the louvre vents at the back (below). I also remember one of the drop-side utes being used by a local brickie that was always loaded to the max with bricks, tools, sand and cement. He couldn't kill it with a stick. They're sought after now though, probably because so many were driven into the ground as Motown1 mentioned.
