Bathurst's Honda-racing stalwarts Ken Brian/Noel Riley shared a 1300 Coupe 9 at the 1971 Hardie-Ferodo 500. Given the price-based class structures in those days, they were up against faster Mazda RX-2s, LC Torana GTRs and Escort Twin-Cams in Class C. Even so, they had a typically reliable run and finished 9th in class and 41st outright. So, this little-known Honda actually has some Bathurst history!
