The best car in the world is a company car, and this VH 6-cylinder SL/E was my Ampol company car. Great for towing home waifs and strays like an Austin A40 Tourer and in another case an Austin A60. It had one of those fuel monitors on the dashboard so you could see how well you were doing economy wise. Its main use was entertaining your passenger rather than telling you anything useful. A comfortable car indeed - Alabaster with blue velour trim. It replaced a VC which I thought was better looking and it was in turn replaced by a VL which was a quick way to losing your licence.
