And who could forget the 'beautiful' lines of the third generation US Taurus which Ford tried to sell here in the late 1990s (from memory) without much success. I remember Howard Marsden telling me that Ford Australia was seriously considering this car as a replacement for the local Falcon. Marsden's response was "you've got to be joking!"
