Retro - the Rootes Group had some of the most exquisite artwork during the '40s and '50s, particularly for the Super Snipe. Here are a few more examples; the first one is an Australian post-war effort. One thing I remember about the mid-50s Super Snipes was the rubber beak on the bonnet ornament. It must have replaced the earlier metal version for safety reasons, but the rubber one inevitably sagged or got bent, or even pulled off.
