You're right Muz. It is strange how Australia missed out on some Japanese models, particularly when New Zealand got them but we didn't. One of those was the Mitsubishi Galant GTO produced from 1970-1977. A really good-looking coupe with engines from 1.6 to 2.0 litres and a successful rally car. They were reportedly only produced in RHD, as Mitsubishi curiously had no interest in a large export program for this model. And most of its small batch of exports ended up in NZ. I know Shannons National Auctions Manager Chris Boribon also has a soft spot for these rare coupes.
