Thanks MarkO and Dr. JW for a very interesting presentation. I get the feeling the Liberty RS Turbo would still be a very appealing car today ? I have two friends who have owned the very early Subarus, friend (a) had the little coupe similar to the one in photo below, and friend (b) had the little wagon similar to photo below also. He loved that little wagon that could go anywhere. I mentioned these two in reference to Dr. Johns comment that they were a bit 'weird' "Gawky" (and they were) but a bit like an unattractive offspring, you still gotta love them ! Friend (b) still drives a Subaru, a later Leone now, he was "hooked" by Subaru from his first one ! Love that Horizontally Opposed flat four sound, and the "REX" was a real boost for the brand. Where are all the Liberty RS Turbos now ?
