The Manjimup 15,000 is a significant event on Australia’s annual motocross calendar. It is the only event in Australia that brings together International Superstars, National Champions and West Australian local riders in the same Pit Paddock riding the same event.

Set on WA Day the long weekend in June, riders and spectators take advantage of the only West Australian winter long weekend to travel to the southwest town of Manjimup.

Manjimup 307km’s south of Perth comes alive; accommodation in the region is at its limits with every bed booked out for that weekend. Fast becoming known as the food bowl of the South West the town central to the entire southwest is an ideal base for this long weekend event.

The inaugural Manjimup 15,000 was held in 1980 with the name being determined from the prize money; it attracted International and National riders from the very onset establishing itself as Australia’s richest and most prestigious outdoor motocross competition.

After a short hiatus in the early 2000’s the event was rebirthed in 2009 by Willie Thomson and Dirt High Promotions taking over the mantle from, but in conjunction with the Manjimup Motorcycle Club.

Since that time the event has grown in stature and reputation, bringing it back into the public eye and centre stage of Australian Motocross.

Dirt High Promotions being leaders in promoting off-road motorcycle competition riding in Western Australia have gained the reputation of quality events and Manjimup 15,000 International Motocross is definitely their flagship event.

Bringing International riders of the highest caliber to the event excites local riders and spectators making it the to do event on all motocross riders calendar.

The event has always been highly regarded by Manufacturers and Teams which is why we can secure the best of Australian riders to compete in the event elevating it to such a level that no other motocross event in the country can compare, with an average of 600 riders over the course of the weekend and 9,000 spectators Dirt High Promotions pride themselves on lifting the quality of the event every year.

In 2017 the inclusion of an Opening Ceremony on Friday night prior to racing to celebrate the International and National riders gave great opportunity to acknowledge the sponsors contribution without whom we would never be able to keep taking the event to the next level. Shannons has given Dirt High Promotions the ability to dream big and produce a world class motorsport competition.

Also in 2017 we introduced a concert style speaker system that allowed spectators all over the venue to clearly hear the action, together with our own FM Channel no-one was left wondering what was happening on the track and the atmosphere was electric and the excitement intense.

This 10th Year of Dirt High Promotions running the event we are excited!! We have been granted the exclusive rights to run three National Championships on this weekend, Women’s, Masters (40+ years), and Veterans (30-39 years). With the inclusion of the Women’s class in 2017, 29 Women competed making it one of the largest classes of Women’s racing in our country. With 2018 being a National Championship round for the Women we expect to fill the grid (40 Riders) and make it the largest Women’s Championship to date.

June 1st – 3rd 2018 Cosy Creek Circuit, Shannons Manjimup 15,000 International Motocross.
