Dontas Prepared for Perth after Eventful Series Opener

By Shannons - 26 April 2017

Craig Dontas is on the hunt for redemption at the second Round of the Australian Stadium SUPER Trucks at the Perth SuperSprint.

Following a first Race win in his first Stadium SUPER Trucks Race as a series regular, Dontas had a tough weekend fighting against a reverse grid and a DNF result after a Race 3 rollover.

Dontas is chasing redemption in Perth, proving he had the speed to compete with the American Racers in Adelaide before his weekend was cut short.

Dontas is now focusing on returning to the podium following a lengthy break in between the Australian Stadium SUPER Truck Rounds.

"I am very keen to have redemption in Perth. We showed glimpses of brilliance at the Clipsal 500 but didn't quite put the weekend together."

There will be plenty of action at the Perth SuperSprint, as it marks the first time the Stadium SUPER Trucks will use the shortened track.

The weekend will consist of a combined Practice & Qualifying session on Friday, followed by two races on Saturday and one on Sunday.

In between events Dontas has been keeping busy in some other Motorsport categories, returning to his V8 Ute Racing at the Port Lincoln Auto Sprint last week, as well as a series of karting races.

Round 2 of the Australian Stadium SUPER Trucks will be held at the Perth SuperSprint from May 5-7.
