The winning entries in Shannons First Car competition revealed some fascinating insights and very detailed recollections of the owner's first car and or bike, together with the vehicle's history the stories behind its acquisition and in some cases life after.

The winner of the Best First Car competition was aczfam and the story of his first car a 1965 MGB. aczfam’s story is one that would resonate with many enthusiasts, originally aspiring to buy a Healy or TR4, but the heavy hand of his father's influence dictated that he buy an MGB. Still under his ownership today the MGB now boasts 230,000 miles on the clock and is a family favourite that is part of his families history.

The winners share in $3,500 worth of fuel vouchers, $1,000 to the Best First Car and $500 for each of the Category winners, there are some great story-tellers out there and after their win some very happy ones too.
