Shannons Classic Rallye 2019 - Targa Tasmania
Shannons Classic Rallye 2019, the best way to experience one of the world’s most unique destinations and the ultimate tarmac rally – Targa Tasmania.
The Shannons Classic Rallye is a non-competitive touring event that combines the best of Tasmania with an inside view of the competitive components of Targa Tasmania. This is only made possible through the great relationship TasVacations has with Targa Tasmania.
This magnificent 9 day classic rallye will guide you through Tasmania’s natural wonders and quaintest of towns via some of Targa Tasmania’s signature rally stages. You will stop along the way to marvel at Tasmania’s great history, breathtaking scenery and indulge in the best of the state’s award-winning food and wine.
To qualify, generally the car you bring on this classic rallye should be at least 30 years of age or eligible for historic registration in your state of origin, above average condition and capable of cruising easily at 90km per hour for the duration of the rallye. Drivers must enter with a passenger/navigator. Both driver and passenger must hold a CAMS L2 non speed licence and only 2 persons per vehicle are permitted in Targa Stages. Tour places are strictly limited and will be filled based on the order of registrations received and accepted.
You will be joined by other like-minded motoring enthusiasts as your Classic Rallye starts in Devonport. The Official Start commences at Country Club Tasmania in Launceston followed by other Targa stages.
Your nine day, eight night, guided tour will end as you cross the Official Finish in Hobart where you will receive your Targa Tasmania Finishers Medallion. Then celebrate the success of the tour at the Exclusive Targa Tasmania Shannons VIP Finishers Party, followed by your groups own exclusive Finishers Presentation Dinner.

Day 0 | Friday 26 April: Cross Bass Strait on the Spirit of Tasmania
Day 1 | Saturday 27 April: Touring day with “Dry Run” through selected Targa stages you will run during the event. Official welcome dinner and Rallye Registration.
Day 2 | Sunday 28 April: Hot Laps in Targa cars at Symmons Plains
Day 3 | Monday 29 April: Official start, Targa Stages
Day 4 | Tuesday 30 April: Experience you first full day Targa experience Touring Tasmania’s Famous East Coast via Targa Stages
Day 5 | Wednesday 1 May: Tour through selected Targa Stages toward Tasmania’s North West
Day 6 | Thursday 2 May: Tour through Northern Tasmanian country roads for spectacular scenery and crossing to the East
Day 7 | Friday 3 May: Drive the Molesworth and Grass Tree Hill Stages before the Targa field
Day 8 | Saturday 4 May: Drive selected morning Targa stages before leading the Targa field to the Official Finish and enjoy the festivities at the Official Shannons VIP Party
Day 9 | Sunday 5 May: Depart Hobart to Devonport check in to the Spirit of Tasmania terminal to board the ship for the overnight crossing of Bass Strait

PRICES
Tasmanian entrants your tour price is only $2,650 per person and includes all of the above except Spirit of Tasmania return sea travel. If you live in Hobart or Launceston and do not require Spirit of Tasmania or accommodation in your own city please enquire about your price (vehicle registration still applies).
