The historic Geelong Revival Motoring Festival returns to the port city’s foreshore in late November for another octane-laden weekend.
The event launches on Friday 22 November with the City Cruise; 600 rare, exotic and classic machines will depart Sutcliffe Reserve at 6:00pm and travel en masse to the Geelong Waterfront, with vehicles on display on Ritchie Boulevard until 9:00pm.
On-track action heats up on Saturday from 10:00am, with the Quarter Mile Sprints running until late afternoon, while at Transvaal Square be sure to check out the Jaguar Supersprint.
The Shannons Classic Motorshow in the Steampacket Gardens will provide a window into our motoring past, Eastern Beach Reserve will host the Revival Motor Expo, while Customs Lawn will cater to those who prefer fewer wheels, with the Motorcycle Mecca show on from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
With so much going on, it’s impossible to take everything in over just one day, so thankfully Sunday offers more of the same great events and displays.
Those wanting to see the Radio-Controlled Car display at Yarra Street, Wooden Boat Display at Eastern Beach Lawn or Vintage Caravan Display at Steampacket Gardens, are in luck, with all events being held across both days.
If fashion is more your thing, the Royal Geelong Yacht Club is hosting the National Vintage Fashion Awards across Saturday and Sunday at 12:00noon.
With all that on, it’s almost possible to forget about the exciting, quarter-mile sprints running from 10:00am both days and culminating in a thrilling Top 10 Shootout at 3:30pm.

With live music, gourmet food options and a trade expo rounding out the event, the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is a top weekend out for the whole family. Geelong’s picturesque waterfront is never more exciting than during the Revival; it is an event that truly should not be missed.
