Mighty Car Mods Mazda RX7 features in Shannons Winter Auction
A vehicle that featured in 10 episodes of the critically acclaimed Mighty Car Mods YouTube show, will be going under the hammer in the upcoming Shannons Winter Auction.
Presented in Starlight Blue Metallic, the 1982 Mazda RX7 (model designation SA22C) was the duo’s first foray into rotary power when purchased in 2019, ahead of it’s time in the spotlight through 2021 and 2022, and still features the 12A twin rotor engine. The RX7 was upgraded to electronic fuel injection utilising well known partners of the show including Haltech ECU, new wiring, coil packs, thermo-fan radiator and fuel tank. The car underwent a handling transformation thanks to KS Racing coilovers, upgraded FD series RX7 discs, Wilwood front calipers and all new bushes.
Finishing off the transformation was a front spoiler, 15” Longchamp XR4 wheels, sourced from Japan and some fresh rubber. The duo went to great lengths in their first foray and have produced a vehicle that is the perfect entry into JDM or rotary ownership, suitable for a seasoned enthusiast looking for a well sorted vehicle or something that can be the basis of further enhancements.
Prior to being put on the market, the vehicle was dyno tuned with 85kw at the rear wheels and serviced, including wheel alignment, and is ready for enjoyment by it’s next owner.
The vehicle is lot 214 in Shannons Online Winter Auction, beginning August 2 and concluding August 9. It is being offered unreserved, with a guiding range of $25,000-$35,000.
