The 2016 Watsons Demolition Newcastle City SuperMoto is a motorcycle race which will be run on a road and dirt course at the iconic Newcastle Harbour Foreshore, in the shadow of the historic Fort Scratchley.
The 2016 event is Round One of the FIM Asia SuperMoto Championships, with not only a host of the top domestic riders, but also the cream of Asian champions. Newcastle will be host to over 100 competitors and their families and support staff, along with an estimated 50,000 spectators over the weekend.
The event will also be broadcast across Asia through FOX Sports Asia, and in Australia on FOX Sports Australia and SBS.
The 2016 event will showcase Newcastle through a packed daytime program, and will continue into the Saturday night, with Vintage, Classic and Custom motorcycle displays in the Hunter Street Mall.
