History
The Spitfire was the fastest production motorcycle in the world back in 1966, one tested at 197kph (123mph) My bike has had only four previous owners (all documented) and had done less than 3,500 miles when I bought it. The bike spent most of its life stored, dismantled, in an attic in Cornwall, UK. Only recently restored in 2019 by the previous owner, bike purchased by myself and exported to Australia in March 2020.
Modifications
The original troublesome GP carbs have been replaced by Amal Concentrics (a common modification), electronic ignition, Thunder billet steel conrods, SRM oil pump and pressure relief valve, SRM clutch, and many other new parts. The original fibreglass fuel tank (prone to leaking) has replaced with a UK- made 5 gallon alloy tank in same style as original.
