History
This is a 2016 VF HSV GTS. It is also the 1st daily drive car I have bought in 18 years. It had to be special to replace the legendary Fairlane. I like my big V8 cars, and with the demise of Fairlane and Caprice, after some research, in my opinion, the VF was the pick for me in 2018. Making the top-spec GTS the decider, I certainly feel good about this car. Apart from the 430kw of power that is beyond words for a production car (just 30kw - 50kw behind a Bathurst Supercar) the over-all finish of this high end model is extremely good. The drive ability is nice, and the cabin appointments & ergonomics are world class. When you drive this car, you realise how far this model evolved, making it a fantastic motor car of export quality. Bang for your Buck - I believe that it's pretty hard to go past this VF HSV GTS. There is also a 2nd car I can access, so if I choose to drive this car a tad less than the Fairlane, this may help preserve it :-) You can watch this transition of vehicles on an episode of Classic Restos, here @ The Shannons Club. Just scroll down until you see "Fletch retires his Fairlane" Thank you for watching. Fletch :-)
