History
My bike and I love it. Seriously fast heavy-weight that handles like a light-weight. This would have to be the world's most competent hyper-bike, when correctly set up to suit the individual rider. The Hayabusa is definitely not for everyone; it is a most intimidating machine that scares many people, but like surfing or sky-diving, you are either good at it and enjoy it or you give it up before you kill yourself. When you are at one with your Hayabusa, there can be no better physical experience, well maybe one other. The Hayabusa will put down anything, anywhere, any time when you have the confidence and the competence to harness all that this machine has to offer. It is always interesting to pull up at a set of lights and no matter who or what pulls up alongside, there is hardly ever a challenge to the outrageous capability of this bike. On the rare occasion when such an attempt is made, within mere seconds, there is obvious contrition displayed by the other party. That is just the way it is!
Modifications
Yoshimura 4 into 1 exhaust, aftermarket shorty levers, rear-sets, stainless steel braided brake lines, tank knee pads, aftermarket seat pad, colour coded screen, Oggy Knobs, and....motor has been de-restricted, re-tuned. Should wind out to approximately 320KPH (had it off the speedo, can't say where or when of course) and accelerates 0 to 100 in around 2.6 seconds. And, wait for it, from 0 to 300KPH in 14 seconds! That is just F#@$%&G Incredible!
