History
This was my beautiful and rare 1979 bevel drive Ducati 900SS, leaving my home for the last time in 2007, together with my GSXR1100N, in the trailer of the new owner. If you have seen some of my other machines and read my accompanying history, you will have noted that I have sold some very nice machines, to make way for new ones, due to maintaining my marital bliss. F*#k!!!!!!! I regret these sales so much! I will never be able to replace this stunning Ducati which I bought new in 1979. It was my bike until 2007, no other person had ever put his/her a*** on this machine, oh, except my brother on two occasions. This machine was looked after like a baby and I kept every document and every bit of ephemera, including every registration label since the thing was new. Believe it or not, I had to order this machine 6 months before it was delivered into the country because I chose then the black and gold colours which were mainly made for the European and British markets (most of the Australian machines were silver and blue). This machine cost me $3,600 brand new in 1979 and now, try finding one on the net, globally for under $35,000 - $40,000. What can I say? I will forever be remorseful and full of regret. But one thing is now certain; I WILL NEVER AGAIN SELL ANOTHER MOTOR BIKE!
