History
The third Peugeot 203 I've owned, the first was a 1955 D4A Van, originally a Gendarmerie Nationale Police van in the Lot-et-Garonne in France in which I covered over 60,000miles around Britain, France, Spain and Italy, bringing it to Sydney in 1992. The second, a concours 203A saloon which was my daily driver for many years in Sydney, and also performed beautifully in Group J historic racing and at competitive rallies in NSW and Western Australia, a truly competent and reliable car in every way. The 203 wagon was entirely original and had a very practical fold-flat rear cabin allowing quite large loads and a rugged roof rack arrangement on which you could carry anything that you could tie down. It was used extensively in Sydney and around rural NSW in the 1990s and until about 2003 when I sold it to buy my MGA. Hopefully it was restored and is in caring hands....
